Injury and Illness: Working with animals may be dangerous and may result in serious illness, injury, or death. As a volunteer, I understand and agree to assume all liability and risk associated with volunteering for Meowtown Animal Rescue. I also agree to release Meowtown Animal Rescue, its directors, officers, and volunteers from responsibility or liability for any illness, injury, or death that may occur as a direct or proximate result of my involvement with Meowtown Animal Rescue.

Tetanus Shot: Volunteers are encouraged to be current on their tetanus vaccination. If I am not current, I acknowledge that I may be at risk and agree to release Meowtown Animal Rescue, its directors, officers, and volunteers from responsibility or liability from any injury, illness, or death.

Volunteer Rules of Conduct

As a volunteer, I understand and agree that:

I am providing my services as a volunteer without any express or implied promise of salary or employment benefits.
Using alcohol or drugs, or being under their influence, is prohibited while volunteering.
Verbal or physical abuse toward shelter volunteers or staff will not be tolerated.

When working with cats, I am expected to:

Treat all animals with respect and kindness.
Report animal injuries, illnesses, or behavior concerns to a senior volunteer or rescue director.
Never handle an animal that makes me uncomfortable, and never put myself, the animal, or others at risk.
Follow all posted instructions in animal care areas, including not entering restricted areas, such as quarantine areas, without permission.

I understand that I am responsible for reading, understanding, and following the Volunteer Rules of Conduct and any related forms provided by Meowtown Animal Rescue.
